Summer in the Carolinas

With most of my travels this past year being to (relatively) exotic locations across Europe that offer rich cultural backgrounds and awe-inspiring architecture, I'd be lying if I said I haven't been a bit bored lately. But during my recent travels in North America, I've been encouraged by the (relatively) unexciting landscape and culture to retrain my eye - and my camera lens - to appreciate the simplest of beauties: the bright flower-covered trees, the wispy clouds in the sky, the humming of nighttime crickets. Summer in the Carolinas isn't so bad, after all. Here are some of my favourite images from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
