Made in Canada

If I had to describe my favorite style, it would be business casual. And, yes, the "casual" part of this term often includes wearing running shoes, though I do prefer to dress myself at least partially "up" with something business-oriented like this incredible coat I recently got my hands on.

I've been chatting with the folks of Le Chateau about their latest grand opening of their newest location in British Columbia’s new retail destination, Tsawwassen Mills. Said to attract shoppers from both Greater Vancouver and the United States, I can't help but recall how far back my experiences with Le Chateau truly go, running all the way back to my pre-teen days when they offered their 'petite' section for kids. This was literally the only store that had clothes small enough to fit my (pre-puberty) lankiness, so my emotional ties with Le Chateau are naturally quite strong.

My favorite thing about Le Chateau nowadays, though? Well, now that I have some initimate knowledge about producing clothing in Canada, I'm pretty stoked that many of this Canadian retailers designs are actually made in Canada – and the Canadian stamp on the inside of my new jacket makes me fall in love with this Montreal line even more.

More about the Tsawwassen Mills outlet mall opening:

Having opened just yesterday, October 5th, you can find the latest Le Chateau outlet as well as a number of other popular boutiques located just 30 minutes north of the Washington State border and less than 5 km from the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal.
